OUR DEFAULT

Essential storage remembers your choice. Analytics waits for permission.

01 — SCOPE

What this policy covers

This policy describes cookies and similar browser technologies used by the public GreenTrust website at greentrust.ch. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

Separate GreenTrust services may provide an additional notice if they use storage or third-party services that are not described here.

02 — ESSENTIAL STORAGE

Your preference stays in your browser

GreenTrust uses localStorage to remember the choice you make in the privacy banner. Local storage remains on your device and is not automatically sent with every page request.

Name Type Purpose Duration
greentrust-cookie-consent Local storage Records whether analytics was accepted or rejected. Until you change the choice or clear site data.
greentrust-cookie-consent-version Local storage Records the consent-policy version linked to the choice. Until it is updated or cleared.

This storage is used to remember your privacy decision. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

03 — OPTIONAL ANALYTICS

Google Analytics starts only after acceptance

If you select Accept analytics, GreenTrust may activate Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-XJL31E3FBK. If you choose essential storage only, the site does not intentionally activate analytics.

Analytics may provide aggregated information such as:

  • pages viewed and visit duration;
  • session and visitor counts;
  • referring pages or campaign information;
  • browser, device and operating-system information;
  • approximate geographic information;
  • interactions enabled in the Analytics property.

GreenTrust does not use this setup to serve personalised advertising. Advertising-related consent signals remain denied in the site configuration.

Name Provider Purpose Typical maximum
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors using a pseudonymous identifier. Up to 2 years.
_ga_<property-id> Google Analytics Maintains session information for the Analytics property. Up to 2 years.

Browser restrictions, deletion settings and Google configuration can shorten these periods.

04 — YOUR CHOICES

You remain in control

On your first visit, the privacy banner lets you either accept or deny optional analytics. The Cookie Policy link remains available from that banner so you can review what each choice means before deciding.

You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser. If you do, GreenTrust will no longer be able to remember the saved choice and may ask again on a later visit.

05 — PROVIDERS AND TRANSFERS

Who may receive analytics data

When analytics is accepted, measurement data is processed by Google. Google may process data in countries outside Switzerland, according to its infrastructure, contractual arrangements and privacy documentation.

More information is available in Google's Privacy Policy and its documentation about Google Analytics data safeguards.

06 — CHANGES AND CONTACT

Keeping this notice accurate

GreenTrust may update this policy when the website, analytics configuration or applicable requirements change. A material change may cause the privacy banner to request a new choice.

Questions concerning this policy can be submitted through the GreenTrust feedback page.

THE PRACTICAL VERSION

Essential storage is limited.

It remembers the privacy choice and the policy version attached to that choice.

Analytics is optional.

Google Analytics should activate only after the visitor gives permission through the consent interface.

The decision can be changed.

Analytics consent can be withdrawn from this policy page or by clearing site data in your browser.
